Are you addicted to your smart phone? Terrifying health issues from smart phone addiction.

In this modern age we are much more connected with new technology that we cannot separate our self from it. In our day to day life we are attached to them and cannot complete our many works without them. Especially talking about our smart phones we are inseparable. We are so reliance on our smart phones that our smart phones are making us stupid. Its obviously convenient. Nobody wants to memorize 500 phone numbers that is in our smart phone but we have lost the ability to memorize one phone number. We are relying on our phones to do simple task. We have lost the ability to do certain normal and easy things. This days specially kids growing in city areas have really easy access to latest technology. Parents have to intervene. They need to stop their kids from free access to social media and phones at young ages. They are not ready for it.Their mind cannot cope with dopamine. Balance is fine, they can give their kids phone but kids should not use it in their bedroom, they should not have it in the dinner table and they should not take it to school. They should have it to certain hour and parents need to take it away.

Addiction :

40% of the population is addicted to their smartphone and loosing their gifts. Most people can't even survive one day without their phones. People often take their phones everywhere even to the bathroom. Most people will constantly check their phones without reason. 60% of 18-24 years old people sleep with their phones right next to them. An average person check their phones 110 times per day while the more addicted check their phones as much as 900 times per day. 63% of people who use gadgets before their bedtime have stated that they didn't get proper sleep during the week. 63% of people from 18 to 29 and 30% of people from 30 to 64 falls asleep holding  their smartphones.
 Disadvantages :
Smart phones can be boon as well as curse if not properly utilize. It can harm our brain, disrupt our body's biorhythms and damage health. Especially using smartphones at night has terrifying side effect Some surprising and terrifying consequences of using smartphones during night time are :

  • Confusion of Biorhythms : the light of the gadget has the same effect as the morning sun. It makes our brain stop producing melatonin. It is the hormone which is necessary for our sound sleep. Melatonin also helps to slow down or prevent completely the development of cancer and other diseases. So when we are attached in our phone when the night comes our brain gets confused. Our brain gets confused with the light of gadget and happens to be sure that it is the light of the day and it's not the right time to sleep wake up and shine. While our body is tired and demands rest our brain sends quite controversial signals. It's harder to fall asleep and to wake up afterwards.
  • Its get harder to study : just 5 min we promise our self. I will only check my facebook feed and perhaps looks through some instagram photos and then all immediately we are asleep-while we come to our senses its already morning. Does this story sounds familiar? Therefore we sleep less, spending more and more time with our electronic friends. But don't forget less we sleep, the more difficult it is for brain to receive new information and no wonder it's just over loaded and doesn't have enough time to process everything we try to learn during the day.
  • Memory Disruption : It gets harder and harder to remember old, already existing information. Our brain becomes dull slowly.
  • Always Hungry : If melatonin is produced incorrectly and sleep cycles are broken, our internal organs won't work properly. For example, our stomach and intestine. It makes sense our body is tired but our brain is wide away. So it sends a signal even it demand but a necessity for extra energy and we fell to eat something though it's not necessity. It can lead to digestion problems including obesity and ruin metabolism.
  • Vision Disorder : bluish light from television, Tablet or smart phone when light is off negatively influences the retina of our eyes and damages. Such impact is especially in the darkness. Not only eye structure gets irritate but our eyes nerve suffers as well. It can lead to almost blindness. when 2000 peoples were interviewed 55% admitted that their eye discomfort most probably from their habit of spending too much including the dark on the smart phone.
Everything has its own limitation and beyond that limit nothing is good enough. As there is Nepali proverb "too much sugar is bitter". our smart phone must be for us we are not for them so hope you will be aware from phone addiction.

Controversy Of FaceApp

Is it Safe to use FaceApp ??

This days FaceApp is in trend. Many famous  celebrities has already shared their photos from FaceApps which got viral in all social media. More than 80 millions of people all over the world are using this app. FaceApp is developed by Russian company Wireless Lab. This Application uses Artificial Intelligence (AI),machine learning and algorithms to give outcome as high realistic transformation of your recent photograph. The App can transform a face to make it smile, look younger, look older or change gender.
Have you used it ? I think you already did. Then have you checked out its terms and condition ? probably not. Many section of Terms and condition raise questions about how the app stores, process & share images of our faces as well as other data we generate. I would like to mention one section from the Terms & Condition of FaceApp :
"your grant FaceApp a perpetual, irrevocable, non exclusive, royalty free, worldwide, fully paid, transferable sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform and display your user content and any name, username or likeness provided in connection with your user content in all media formats and channels now know or later develop....without compensation to you.
We think we're using the app for free but that isn't entirely true. In reality, we're paying the app by giving it our data.
what kind of data we are giving away ?
1. Images of our face
2. Our personal information
As we can see in section FaceApp doesn't claim ownership over any of our images, but it claims that by using the apps, users grant perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty free, worldwide, fully paid, transferable, sub-licensable license.
License? for what ?
To use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works, distribute, publicly perform, display your users content that is your photographs and any name or username without compensation to you. That's not all. The same section also claim that the App has the authority to use our images and personal data for any commercial purposes and that we acknowledge that this isn't going to cause us injury, that is injury to our privacy.
FaceApp founder and CEO, Yaroslav Goncharov said " 99% of users don't login therefore we don't have access to any data that could identify a person."
So can they or can they not establish our identity and sell it to third parties ?
Of course they can.
The privacy policy explicitly states that the FaceApp collects information from cookies, log files, device identifiers, location data and usage data.
and one more important  thing to note :
The App doesn't explicitly make clear to us - the users that our images uploaded and processed in its cloud server and on our devices.
In conclusion, FaceApp's terms and conditions are standard for most apps that we downloaded. For example, Snapchat has almost almost identical policies.
Therefore, it's important to be careful about what permission we are giving to the Apps and actively Opt out of features that we don't want in the app setting. It is prudent to remember that free app like faceapp, facebook and even snapchat come at a cost and that cost therefore is often one's data privacy.
